Under the silver moonlight, the city of Vaelor stood proud over the cobalt sea. The tall glass skyscrapers that edged their way closer and closer to the stars would remind those below just how small they were. Artificial warmth and light loomed over the streets. Holograms of the latest and newest products offered a sense of companionship. All across the cityscape loomed giant iridescent and holographic figures who prompted Vaelor’s people to indulge in their desires. Even if it may suck the life out of their wallets. Whether it was the newest car that would drift along building’s and burst into a six-digit number, or a giantess sprinkling the latest designer perfume across a street. There was rarely any escape from goading. Although the static sky told that it was time for rest, Vaelor’s people thrived better under moonlight. The beaches were full of life, casinos were promising their clientele better lives, restaurants and clubs were offering a brief solace from isolation. A whole
